I recently had the pleasure of spending time with Kristin Carpenter-Ogden, founder and CEO of Verde Brand Communications and host of the Channel Mastery podcast.
During our conversation, Kristin repeatedly referred to her customers as “Our People.”
I just had to smile. There is such power in that phrase. Our People.
Kristin’s firm specializes in helping boutique outdoor brands and retailers. She and her team are immersed in this culture, as evidenced by the photos on the “TEAM” page on the company website:
The people she works with aren’t just customers. They’ve become her friends. They are Her People. She knows about them as individuals. She knows about their lives. She knows their needs and the immense challenges of competing with mega-brands.
Kristin spends time getting to know her customers, and the customers of her customers, until they are Our People.
That is marketing at its best. What would it take to turn your customers into “Our People?”
