During my time at SXSW 2015, I had a unique opportunity to speak at Dell’s remarkable #Social360 Unconference, a small and energetic dialogue among social marketing thought leaders.
For the second year, I was honored to share the stage with Dr. Ari Lightman, Distinguished Service Professor of Digital Media and Marketing at Carnegie Mellon University, who is on the cutting edge of social media analytics. After the 2015 conference, I had the opportunity to ask him a few further questions for the {grow} audience. We talk about:
- Crowdsourcing big data analytics to simplify how we can understand Big Data
- How do we find wisdom about our best customers — the Alpha Audience — through this sea of data?
- Re-framing the notion of power and influence based on data analysis.
- Social selling and influence versus popularity
I think you’ll enjoy this short but fascinating video. If you can’t see the video above, you can view it by clicking here: Mark Schaefer interviews Ari Lightman.
Also, here is the entire 50-minute video of #Social360 “micro-keynotes” featuring Ari Lightman talking about a new view of big data, I talk about discovering your Alpha Audience, Bryan Kramer talks about providing personal experiences on the web, and Natalie Zfat talks about finding your inner story.
