The future of blogging and online publishing

future of blogging

A lot of people out there are saying blogging is dead. I don’t think so. Is reading dead? When reading is dead … then blogging will be dead.

Still …

If you haven’t looked around our business lately, you might be missing out on truly cataclysmic changes on the social channels that affect online publishing, content marketing strategy, and personal branding.

Starting your social media strategy with a blog used to be a safe bet. Today? I’m not so sure.

Do we turn to Facebook notes? LinkedIn as a business publishing platform? Or something else? Does anything work any more in an era of Content Shock?

A couple of times each year I get to spend time on Mitch Joel’s podcast. If you don’t know Mitch and his work, you’re missing out on one of the most important intellects on the web. Not only is he incredibly smart (and more important, insightful), his experience with one of the world’s largest digital agencies and his vast industry connections set him apart as an author and pundit.

On a recent episode of his acclaimed Six Pixels of Separation podcast, Mitch and I dissect the world of online publishing and think through some of the most important issues facing marketers today.

If you are a blogger, online marketer, or just a lover of smart and creative business discussions, you will love this connection between Mitch and myself on the future of blogging.
